Welcome back swimmers and parents!

We are gearing up for the end of our season! This Saturday is our last meet before the biggest meet of the year: District Championships!

For this Saturday, our events have already been entered. If you were eligible before winter break, you are still eligible to participate in this meet. We will be swimming our final meet at Burnet. For this meet, please arrive at Gilleland Creek Pool with your gear ready to leave at 6:15 AM. 

Districts will take place on Saturday, January 29 at the UT Swim Center. You must be academically eligible as of January 12 (for the second nine weeks grading period) to attend and compete in this meet. As of right now, there are no changes to the meet, and the top 6 swimmers in each event will advance to Regionals. Currently, Regionals is scheduled to take place in San Antonio, but due to rising Covid numbers in the area, officials are waiting to announce official plans for the Regional Championships. Be ready for updates to come in the near future. 

We are at that time of the year when weather can be unpredictable for our outdoor practice facilities, so please be sure to pay attention to the updates on Remind. Whenever possible, we try to let you know about weather cancelations ahead of time. However, due to Texas weather, pool heater settings, and tarps, we cannot always predict if the water will be warm enough to practice. As always, you are welcome to attend morning practice from 6:30AM-7:45AM or afternoon practice from 5PM-6:30PM. Please also be sure to bring parkas, sweats, extra towels, etc. to practice so that you can stay warm!
